UET
Partial Electrolysis Technology prevents scale, corrosion and bio-life
in Industrial, commercial and mining water systems.
Five
months ago a UET water treatment process unit was installed in the
Makhteshim
Chemical Works in the hot water system, with water on the one side
of the heat exchanger and steam on the other.
The
UET-SR-HW process unit was installed to protect a plate heat exchanger
(PHE) from scale and fouling.
Previously
the heat exchanger used to block frequently due to extensive scale
buildup on the heat exchanger’s plates, which resulted in a
significant efficiency drop. As a result the
factory had to open the plate heat exchanger for cleaning every
three weeks. This cleaning
procedure is very expensive and time consuming as the plates have to be
cleaned by hand with acid and new gaskets have to be installed and oven
cured.
Since
the installation of our UET-SR-HW the heat exchanger is now free of
scale!!! The efficiency is constant and there is no need for cleaning
every three weeks!!!
To
check the effectiveness of the UET
process unit the heat exchanger was recently opened in the presence of
the head of the maintenance
department, Mr. Deviancy. The
heat exchanger was found totally free from scale!!! (See Picture above).
