WESU was invited by Goldfields Ltd, to give a presentation of its ecofriendly water treatment, in light of its successfully operation of water treatment on the cooling water of Fairview gold mine in Barberton South Africa. Over the past 18 months, WESU technology saved up to 85% of the energy used for pumping the cooling water into the Biox tanks, maintenance costs and saved large volumes of water, by significantly reducing the blow down. No chemicals are used to treat the water. Cleaning In Process (CIP) is a process of circulating acid on scaled pipes and heat exchangers to dissolve scale deposits, is not required anymore.
